Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium works to provide opportunities for STEM students in a variety of pathways and experience levels. See below for some of the programs we support in Washington state.

AJAC | Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships
AJAC partners with more than 300 advanced manufacturing employers across Washington State, helping them train their employees through one of 15 registered apprenticeship programs. Each apprenticeship combines college-level coursework with structured, hands-on on-the-job training, giving apprentices the opportunity to earn a paycheck while building valuable skills and earning college credit through one of seven Washington community and technical colleges.

Provide experiential learning opportunities for NWIC students through rocketry, renewable energy, and additive manufacturing. Students will gain experience working in NWIC Innovative Fabrication Labs and NWIC Space Center.

The Science Dome at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom offers learning experiences in the field of high-altitude ballooning (HAB). Students learn the physics of balloon flight, engineering design, build, test cycle, computer programming, scientific experimental design, data analysis, and presentation skills.
