As part of NASA, the Washington Space Grant Consortium encourages research at the undergraduate level and beyond in the fields of engineering, technology, and both Earth and space sciences.
Student research programs in Washington state and at NASA research facilities across the country provide opportunities to work side by side with leading research scientists. Graduate students from Washington state are eligible for Space Grant fellowships and for the NASA Graduate Student Researchers Program (GSRP).
Washington Space Grant Consortium is also a founding partner in the Research Institute for Space Exploration (RISE), a University of Washington-based institute that provides an interdisciplinary focus for the breadth of space science and engineering activities in the Northwest. RISE brings together students, faculty and industry leaders.
Each NASA enterprise office publishes regular announcements of professional research opportunities.
