MUSEUM OF FLIGHT EDUCATOR OPEN HOUSE (K-12)

On November 11, the Museum of Flight will hold a free educator open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all K–12 public, private and home school educators, administrators, and their families.

Learn about the Museum of Flight’s Boeing Academy for STEM Learning and other education programs, and visit the new aviation pavilion. No registration required. Current educator identification is required for entry.

TECH IN THE CLASSROOM WEBINARS (K-12)

In November, NASA Educator Professional Development webinars will focus on technology in the classroom from web-based resource that allows students and educators to study Earth from space, the solar system and extrasolar planets to resources for teaching about waves, lenses and mirrors.

This month educators will also discover NASA websites, digital badging and applications to implement with students before next year's solar eclipse. For a complete schedule of events, visit

WSGC SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN (12)

Each year Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium offers scholarships for incoming freshmen who plan to study science, technology, engineering or math at the University of Washington.

These competitive scholarships are based on high school academic achievement, standardized test scores, personal essays, recommendations, and future academic promise. Applicants must be Washington state residents and U.S. citizens planning to major in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics discipline.
